Materials and supply chain

Many clients/customers ask me what is the state of supplies such as lumber? Well, it is really a mixed story right now. Some prices have come down near pre-Covid levels. Others have continued to go up. Composite decking or PVC trim for example are very expensive. Lumber the commodity is back to pre-Covid, however due to the cost of everything else going up, you will still pay more for lumber. Windows and doors are another higher priced item that still can have significant delays depending on the color and the product. Drywall, a significant material for any project - new or remodel - is still almost double pre-Covid prices. That seems to have much more to do with demand as the raw materials are more available.
